Privacy Policy

FreeShot (“the app”) is a screenshot, annotation and pinning tool for macOS. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: FreeShot does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data.

Data we collect

None. FreeShot has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting SDKs and no third-party services. The app does not make network connections.

Screen content

With your permission (macOS “Screen Recording”), FreeShot captures the screen only when you start a screenshot. The captured image is processed entirely in memory on your Mac and is discarded when you finish, unless you choose to copy it to the clipboard, save it to a file, or pin it on screen. Nothing is recorded continuously and nothing is uploaded.

Clipboard

FreeShot writes to the clipboard when you copy a screenshot or a color value, and reads the clipboard only when you choose “Pin Clipboard”.

Files and pin history

Screenshots are saved only to locations you choose (or the folder you configure in Settings). Images you pin to the screen are kept in a local pin history inside FreeShot’s private app container on your Mac (the last 50 by default) so you can pin them again; you can change the limit, turn it off or clear it in Settings. FreeShot stores its preferences (such as shortcuts and the save folder) locally using standard system settings storage. None of this data leaves your Mac.

Children

The app does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

剪贴板

仅当你复制截图或颜色值时写入剪贴板；仅当你使用“贴图（剪贴板）”时读取剪贴板。

文件与贴图历史

截图只会保存到你选择的位置（或你在设置中指定的文件夹）。你贴到屏幕上的图片会保存在 FreeShot 自己的应用容器中形成“贴图历史”（默认最近 50 个），方便再次贴出；你可以在设置中调整数量、关闭或清除。快捷键、保存位置等偏好设置通过系统标准方式保存在本地。以上数据都不会离开你的 Mac。

儿童隐私

本应用不收集任何人的信息，包括 13 岁以下儿童。
